Sunrise in Sanur
Sanur is another magnificent place in Bali, only about 6 km from Denpasar this place is easily to reach.
Sanur beach well known for it's beautiful "Sunrise" which is opposite of Kuta that known for it "Sunset". In general terms, Sanur is more expensive destination than Kuta but cheaper than Seminyak. This place more recommended for middle-aged or older families.
Sanur originates from to words "Saha" and "Nuhur" which literally means a passion to visit a certain place , it was on a beach of Sanur the Netherlad troops set the first foot on Bali in 1906 to attack Balinese People this war known as Badung Puputan, a heroic event that always be remembered among all Balinese until today's generation.

How to Get There :

By Car,
Sanur is 20 minutes away from Ngurah Rai International Airport, there's many pre-paid coupon taxi cost for Rp. 90,000 from Airport to Sanur. But I recommend you to walk about 200 meters leave the airport and take a metered taxi from there, it cost more cheaper than a pre-paid taxi inside the air port.
If you drive a car by yourself, just find a Jalan Bypass Ngurah Rai there's many signposted that will guide you into the heart of Sanur. Takes for about 20 minutes driving from Kuta or Legian, 25 minutes from Seminyak or Ubud, and about 15 minutes from Denpasar.

By Bus,
a bus company Perama offers daily direct transfer to Sanur and any other tourist destinations in Bali such as Kuta, Candidasa, Lovina, Padang Bai, and Ubud.

By Boat,
boats from Nusa Lembongan arrive at the beach at the end of jalan Hangtuah.
Perama also has a boat service to Nusa Lembongan , leaving at 10.30am . This has to be pre-booked the day before. Prices are slightly higher than the public boats. Charter boats are also available for steep prices, feel free to negotiate.

Sunset in Kuta
Located in Badung Distric 11 km South of Denpasar, central city of Bali province, Indonesia. This place is favorite destination for International tourist in Indonesia because of it's beautiful place and culture.
Kuta became famous tourist destination since the merchants from Denmark open trade representative office here in 19's century. Trading relationship between the trade representative with the local people are develop very rapidly.

Then in 1930's a couple from California are very impressed with the beauty of Kuta beach with it's white sandy, who was totally unspoiled by human intervention and still natural. Kuta Beach Hotel is the first hotel in this region, but unfortunately the hotel have to be closed when Japanese army invaded the island of Bali.
In 1960's when many Australian have to transit in Bali for a trip to Europe, Kuta started getting known again.
And as the time goes by, not only tourist from Australia come to visit this exotic place, but also tourist from around the world.
